Fairfield Elementary School began in 1923 as the Cedar Grove Public School.  It served as a neighborhood school for 78 years before becoming a magnet school in 2001.  It serves a diverse student population representing children from all over Caddo Parish.  Our goal is to provide instruction based on high expectations within a safe environment where all members are treated with dignity and respect.

Fairfield Magnet is an academic magnet meeting the needs of many of Caddo's brightest children in kindergarten through fifth grades.  Teachers and administrators work together to provide an atmosphere where students can thrive academically.  We offer many programs to meet the individual needs of our students.  Enrichment areas include:  music, physical education, art, French, science lab, Discoveries Unlimited, Gateway, and orchestra.  Our firsts few years as the district's newest magnet schools have been a great success.
