POINTS OF PRIDE

o    We are a five star school with a School Performance Score of 142.9 and labeled    “A School of Recognized Academic Growth”

o    100% of Fairfield ’s teachers are highly qualified

o    Recognized by Shreveport Green for our “Beautiful Campus” presented with a 2nd place certificate and $75.00 to put toward our projects  – thanks to the efforts of dedicated parents, staff and the new “Garden Club”

o    We continue to attract students from across the parish – we have a substantial waiting list

o    Awesome Fairfield website sponsored by Casaic with teacher linked web sites

o    Web Based Accelerated Reader allowing access to book titles, levels and points from areas outside the school

o    Added a “SMART board” won at a conference and CPS-clickers & Mobi

o    Projectors mounted in 18 classrooms

o    CPSB funded handicapped accessibility including an elevator

o    Walk for Education generated $2673.00.   Fairfield “kept” 50% of this money or $1,336.65.

o    Collected revenue for:  profit from school pictures $1,429.11, profit from school fund raisers -  World’s Finest Chocolate - $2605.00 + $3,942.00 = $6547.47, Land’s End $137.73, French Toast $104.40, Target $384.80, Office Depot $100.00, School-Pac $700.00.  This money is used to support and supply technology.

Students

§  Perfect Attendance, A/B Honor Roll and Principal’s List recognized each nine weeks.

§  Honor’s program in May to recognize year long achievements

§  Shaye Howell was Fairfield ’s Student of the Year and a District Finalist

§  Presidential Award for Educational Excellence:  4th Graders and  5th Graders

§  Jacob Zaffater  received honor of most improved student and attended CFT sponsored award banquet

§  Walk for Education – Cheerleaders performed and Zoe Walker was recognized for raising the most money in the elementary school division

§  Cheerleading performed in Boardwalk Christmas Parade, rode on Highland Parade Float

§  Golden girls won three 1st place trophies at the State Fair

§  Several athletic teams

Jacobs, Red River Revel, LA State Exhibit Building, Sci Port Discovery Center , Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, LSUS Heritage Manor, Shreveport Symphony, Riverview Center , Strand Theatre, Fish Hatchery, Art Break

  • $14,700.00 donated back to the school - $3700 for technology, $4,000 for teacher grants, $2,000 in teacher requests and $5,000 to upgrade wiring in the cafeteria
