SCHOOL WIDE POINTS OF PRIDE
  • We are a five star school with a School Performance Score of 142.9 and labeled  “A School of Recognized Academic Growth”
  • 00% of Fairfield’s teachers are highly qualified
  • We continue to attract students from across the parish – we have a substantial waiting list

  • Web Based Accelerated Reader allowing access to book titles, levels and points from areas outside the school
  • CPSB funded:  handicapped accessibility including an elevator and 4 adult handicap accessible restrooms; completed covered walkways in the car pool area; sidewalk connecting walkway and basketball court; French drain by front gate

STUDENTS
  • Perfect Attendance, A/B Honor Roll and Principal’s List recognized each nine weeks
  • Honor’s program in May to recognize year long achievements
  • Allison Manning was Fairfield’s Student of the Year and a District Finalist 
  • Presidential Award for Educational Excellence:   5th Graders
  • Blake Bramley received the honor of most improved student and attended CFT sponsored award banquet
  • Cheerleaders performed several times at school an at the Boardwalk at Christmas, rode float in Highland Parade, performed at Walk for Education
  • Golden girls performed at the Revel and several times at school
  • Several athletic teams
  • Active Cub Scout Pack
  • Our students participated and competed  in a number of activities including:

          1 2nd place, 4 honorable mentions, 25 students published

* Science

Hands on Science Lab 1st – 5th Grade Students;  added primary sets of LEGOs, and 12 Atom Structure Building Boards
School Level Science Fair
10 students participated in Regional Science Fair  winning 2 1st places for individual projects in a category  and a 2nd place out of the entire Elementary Division

* Social Studies

School Level Social Studies Fair
7 students participated in Regional Social Studies Fair and 4 students place 1st and Caroline Manning and Danielle Perkins went on to state and  won 1st Place
5th Grade Project on display at Tulane University
Student collected pet  food for local shelters as part of her 5th grade project 

* Music

All students were given the opportunity to participate in a musical
20 students participated in Caddo/Bossier Honor Choir
13 students qualified for LA Elementary All State Choir
LMEA State Choral Festival - Sweepstakes
Performed in Showcase at ArtBreak
Performed at local retirement centers  
Began 3rd grade choir  
3rd graders participated with Shreveport Opera Express
Strings Program taught weekly to interested students
Caddo Parish Honor Orchestra – 9 students auditioned and were accepted;  Bryan Chen attained highest rank, best violinist and attained concert-master Division

* School Level Spelling Bee Winner Alden McCollum   represented Fairfield at the Regional competition

Jacobs, Red River Revel, LA State Exhibit Building, Sci Port Discovery Center, Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, Shreveport Symphony, Riverview Center, Strand Theatre, Fish Hatchery, Art Break, Natchitoches Alligator Farm

PTA
  • District & State Award for 100% PTA membership
  • $33,000.00 donated back to the school – which will be used for technology including:  5 Smart Boards,  10 Document Cameras, 5 Digital Cameras, 4 sets of Aveaver pens (way cool),  3 Interactive tablets, 1 set of Classroom Responders (Clickers) and a projector !!!!!!!!
  • Field Day and Carnival were both a huge success
  • Spring Fling, teacher time auction and silent auction
  • 2 spectacular grandparent’s days

  • Reflection’s Contest District Winners- Taylor Reed (Visual Arts) Award of Excellence; Luke Lemere (film/video) Award of Excellence and Award of Merit (photography) ; Micheala Collins (photography) Award of Excellence; Grant Muslow (musical composition) Award of Excellence and went on to state where he won and his composition is now at the national level
